As part of Generation180’s program “Climate Cultura,” Fellow Erik Francisco Medina traveled to Savanah, Georgia, to speak to community leaders and solar developers to highlight the benefits solar power brings to folks in Georgia. Climate Cultura’s goal was to empower Latino creatives to create content that speaks to them and the communities they’re from. This video series produced by Erik highlights the work that real folks on the ground are doing daily, showing just how impactful the clean energy revolution is for people in Georgia. Georgia isn’t the only place to find stories like this; there are stories that we have shared from across the nation and so many more that haven’t been spotlighted about how clean energy is saving folks money and creating a safer environment for us, our children, and our communities.

In addition to Erik’s fantastic work, we want to share a new project we launched in collaboration with some amazing partners called “Energy for All Y’all.” Generation180’s newest project is in partnership with the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy and the Southeast Sustainability Directors Network. We’re working together to encourage all Americans to take advantage of clean energy funds through the Inflation Reduction Act.

If this work interests or inspires you, please visit the website, where you can read even more inspiring clean energy stories that make it clear that clean energy matters in communities across the country.
